    Former CEO of United Airlines
    Oscar Munoz has served as executive chairman of the board of directors of United Airlines Holdings Inc. since May 2020. He previously served as the company’s Chief Executive Officer from September 2015 until his Executive Chairman appointment. Mr. Munoz has served on the board of directors of United Airlines Holdings Inc. since 2010, and he served on the board of directors of Continental Airlines Inc. from 2004 to 2010. He currently serves on the board of directors for CBRE Group Inc. and Univision Holdings Inc., and sits as an independent trustee on Fidelity’s Equity & High Income Funds Board. Prior to United, Mr. Munoz served as President and Chief Operating Officer of CSX Corporation, a railroad and intermodal transportation services company, from February 2015 to September 2015; as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of CSX from 2012 to 2015; and as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of CSX from 2003 to 2012. He also served on the board of directors of CSX from February 2015 to September 2015.

    Prior to leading United Airlines as CEO from 2015-2020, and as Executive Chairman, Oscar Munoz held executive positions at the North American rail-based transportation supplier, CSX Corp, AT&T, U.S. West, PepsiCo and Coca Cola. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Salesforce, CBRE, TelevisaUnivision, and Archer Aviation, is an Independent Trustee on Fidelity’s Equity & High-Income Funds Board and a member on the Pentagon’s Defense Business Board. He is also a member of the Board of Trustees at the Brookings Institution and a Trustee of the University of Southern California, where he earned his undergraduate degree in business. He also received an MBA from Pepperdine. Munoz serves as a partner at LAT VC, a purpose-driven venture capital firm on a mission to catalyze the most entrepreneurial yet undercapitalized cohort in the US by investing in businesses led by Latinos.

    As a first-generation college graduate from an immigrant family, he and his wife, Cathy, founded Pave It Forward, a foundation that raises scholarship funds for first-generation students. The first Latino to run a major US airline, Hispanic Business magazine twice named Oscar one of its ‘100 Most Influential Hispanics.

    Jeff joined NEA in 2018 as a Venture Partner on both the technology and healthcare investing teams.

    Jeff served as chairman and CEO of GE for 16 years where he revamped the company’s strategy, global footprint, workforce and culture, transforming it into a simpler, stronger, and more focused digital industrial company. During his tenure, he led several innovative transformations which doubled industrial earnings, reshaped the portfolio, re-established market leadership, grew a strong share position in essential industries, and quadrupled emerging market revenue. Prior to being appointed Chief Executive Officer in 2000, Jeff held several global leadership roles at GE in the Plastics, Appliances, and Healthcare businesses and became an Officer of the company in 1989. He has been named one of the "World's Best CEOs" three times by Barron's, and while he was CEO, GE was named "America's Most Admired Company" by Fortune magazine and one of "The World's Most Respected Companies" in polls by Barron's and the Financial Times. He has received 15 honorary degrees and numerous awards for business leadership.

    Jeff earned a B.A. degree in applied mathematics from Dartmouth College and an M.B.A. from Harvard University. He currently serves on the board for NEA portfolio companies Collective Health, Desktop Metal, and Radiology Partners, and is a member of The American Academy of Arts & Sciences. He and his wife have one daughter.
